We're getting married!

Sunday, March 12th, 2023, Pastor Marlon Lock of Unity Gospel House of Prayer asked all of the single men to stand and our good friends The Grady's, saw a man by the name of Frederick Williams stand up and immediately had a "random" thought. Their "random" thought was "hmmm, that's our sister Keyvonna's husband." The Grady's conversed with one another and came up with a plan for Kenneth to speak with Frederick a couple days later at Tuesday night service. Kenneth and Frederick both met and attended men's class at the church, so they weren't strangers to one another. On Tuesday, March 14th, 2023, Kenneth approached Frederick stating, "I think I found your wife bro." Frederick smiled and began asking questions and engaging in conversation with Kenneth. After talking for a bit, they continued their conversation via text. Wednesday, March 15th, 2023, Sheka Grady texted Keyvonna, "sister, I think I found your husband." Keyvonna called Sheka to get a better understanding of her text. Sheka told Keyvonna, "There is a very nice guy at my church and God told me that he is your husband, and you need to come to church to meet him." At this time, Keyvonna just had got out of a "situationship", and needed time to heal, but she wasn't against meeting new people. The Grady's played Cupid and got a date on the calendar and sent Keyvonna and Frederick photos of one another, along with their social media. Later on, that day, Frederick reached out to Keyvonna on Tik Tok, and they began conversing about the anticipation to meet Sunday, March 19th, 2023, at Unity Gospel House of Prayer. Keyvonna walked in the church on Sunday and after hugging a few people, Sheka told Keyvonna, "Your husband doesn't want to wait. He wants to meet you now." Sheka took Keyvonna in the hallway to calm her down because she was nervous and next thing you know, Frederick walks up, and Sheka does the introduction. She says, "Keyvonna meet your husband. Fredy meet your wife." They hugged once and Sheka realized that they were matching so she asked them to hug again so she could capture the moment, and they did. Following service, Frederick walked up to Keyvonna and asked for her number. Keyvonna gave him her number and proceeded to leave to go to dinner for Sheka's birthday. As she was in route to the restaurant, Frederick texted Keyvonna asking to meet in a public place. Keyvonna was flattered, but hesitant because this was new and fresh. After dinner, Sheka advised Keyvonna to go to the meet up and remain open. Keyvonna listened to her big sister and met Frederick at Barnes & Noble at Mayfair.

They met at the Barnes & Noble in Mayfair for about an hour and soon after went to Jamba Juice to continue conversing. After a couple hours at the mall, they parted ways but remained in contact with one another. A couple weeks had passed, and their communication was far and in between. While Frederick was showing interests, Keyvonna was in a season of healing from past hurt, so she didn't show much interest. At the beginning of April 2023, Frederick Facetime'd Keyvonna and stood on business because he hadn't heard from or seen Keyvonna in what seemed like a long time. He simply asked, "When am I going to see you? Can you make time for me?" Keyvonna was speechless and told Frederick she'll let him know. After giving it some thought, Keyvonna called Frederick and agreed to go on a date to the lake. Their date to the lake didn't go so well because after Frederick asked Keyvonna to talk and tell him a little bit more about herself, she sat in the car in silence for about an hour and a half. Frederick drove Keyvonna back to her car and again, they parted ways which left their communication far and in between again. The next day, Keyvonna felt really bad for sitting in the car in silence so she texted Frederick to call her, and he did. She simply apologized to him and explained that she is disconnected because of previous experiences, and she didn't want to waste his time. After an hour-long conversation on the phone, they went over expectations, intentionality and long-term goals. The truth is, both of them experienced past hurts and wanted genuine love so bad that they were scared of the possibility that love had finally shown up to arrest their preconceived notions about what could be. After the lake experience, they began communicating on a consistent basis as friends to get to know each other better. Towards the end of April, they then realized that something was brewing and wanted to explore the brew.

May 2023, they officially started dating and began to give more access to one another. They dated for a year, and then in May 2024, they decided to get into a committed relationship. Marriage was always on the table for them, but it REALLY became a priority in Jan 2025 when Frederick spoke to their Pastor, Marlon Lock about the process of marriage and doing it right. Frederick and Keyvonna had communicated about marriage often, but this time around things took off fast. They were ready to make it official.

February 24th was Keyvonna's birthday. Frederick told Keyvonna that he was taking her out to dinner for her birthday, but little did she know it was her proposal dinner. Frederick and Keyvonna walked into Bravo's Italian Restaurant and allowed the waiter to escort them to the dinner party room. Keyvonna walked in and was soooo surprised to see her parents, cousins, close family and friends. After she welcomed and hugged everyone, the waiter took the drink and food order. Right before the food came, Frederick thanked everyone for coming and asked Keyvonna to stand up. When Keyvonna stood up, Frederick got down on one knee and asked for Keyvonna's hand in marriage. Keyvonna was shocked and so happy that she responded to Frederick's proposal with a STRONG yes. It was an unforgettable and magical night in genuine love. Shortly after it was released that their wedding date had been set for May 3rd, 2025. The Williams are awaiting their special day to celebrate with Family and Friends.

Keyvonna: What I love about Frederick is his heart for God. Having a Kingdom man and not just a man of God is truly what my heart desired. I remembered praying in secret to God years ago of what I wanted in a man. I never told Fredy what I wanted or needed in a man, he just shows up as what I want and need and fulfills every prayer that I prayed to God in secret. I've waited years for this kind of love, and I vowed to God that I would honor it and him for the rest of my life. Our marriage is a Kingdom Marriage, and we have kept God at the center of it all from the very beginning. I am extremely blessed and honored to be Mrs. Frederick Williams. Frederick: What I love about Keyvonna is how virtuous she is. I love Keyvonna’s heart posture. I love how she pours into me spiritually and encourages me to be the best version of myself. I love how she challenges and motivates me to be the best version of myself daily. I love everything that she is not and everything that she is. God had to be in my head when he created Keyvonna because he knew exactly what I needed. Keyvonna, you are a reflection of me, and I am a reflection of you. I look forward to us being a reflection of what God has ordained. It’s an honor to spend the rest of my life with you because you are a gift to my life.
