Our story began in college, we both had attended ENC. Since our campus was small, it didn’t take long for us to know of each other—but it wasn’t until sophomore year, when we had classes back-to-back, that we really started to connect. What started as a casual friendship slowly turned into something more. There was always something we both knew was there, but we chose to remain friends... at least until senior year, second semester—with only five weeks left of college! That’s when we finally took a chance on each other and began dating. After graduation, we began a long-distance relationship for eight months. During that time, I decided to pursue my master’s degree at our alma mater, which brought us closer as Freddy was residing in Weymouth and gave us the opportunity to explore what our relationship could become. As we grew together, we also grew closer to each other’s families. We quickly discovered a beautiful coincidence—we were both one of eight siblings. That shared background gave us a deep sense of connection and understanding of where our wackiness came from. Each day, with the grace of God, we’ve helped one another grow—becoming better, stronger, and more grounded in love. On July 19th, Freddy proposed on Martha’s Vineyard—a moment that sealed our love story and marked the beginning of a new chapter. We are incredibly blessed to have found one another, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
