Alex and Jill met back in 2013 when Jill started her Ph.D. program at USC, and Alex had just graduated and started working there. They became fast friends, and the rest is history! Alex is also the one who first introduced Jill to LARP, which is where she and Freddy met.

Jonathan and Freddy met in kindergarten, and little did either realize would turn into lifelong friends. They gamed, did plenty of dumb stuff our parents didn't catch, and grew up together. Fun Fact: TBD

Alicia and Jill met the night before third grade at the Northeast Philadelphia YMCA while their little brothers were playing T-Ball. They grew up around the corner from each other, and even their moms became best friends!

Gloria and Freddy met at Hamilton High School, but it took memes and awkward hugs at Santa Monica college that turned them into friends. Having seen the highs and lows of our young adult lives, laughing with each other, and plenty of TMI, they've share a mutual care and love for each other.
Deirdre Martin

Deirdre and Jill met in 2010 while attending the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies in Yokohama, Japan. They've bounced all over Tokyo together over the years, and were big supports to each other while finishing their respective Ph.D. programs during the pandemic. Jill's dad calls Deidre "The Hurricane" because she blows into Jill's life so they can have tons of fun together!

Having met at Alexander Hamilton Senior High School, they bonded over hilariously obvious cheating at Go-Fish. Keeping in touch and sharing insight on each others lives over the years, the moment they are in the same space that shared laughter in the corner of A-2 is sure to follow.

Random and Jill met at Bryn Mawr College in 2006 and have been inseperable ever since. Jill's parents refer to her as their extra daughter who comes by their house all the time. Be sure to ask Random about the time she visited Jill in Japan; they had a blast!

Briana is Jill's cousin, and they're only 3 years apart in age. When they were kids, Jill and Briana would often play "school," where Jill got to be the teacher. Briana is Jill's go-to for fashion and makeup advice!

Matisse and Freddy met at high-school, back when they were both awkward, goofy teens. Though shared and unique fandoms, along with deep conversations at Denny's post "nerd parties", they found a friendship that picks up right where it left off whenever they spend time together.

Becky, Jill, and Freddy all met at the same LARP event in February, 2018. They quickly formed "The Anime Club," becoming great friends after going to see a screening of "The Cat Returns" together. Jill asked Becky to help her when she asked out Freddy, and Becky made sure they had some time alone at the LA County Fair that year to make it happen! Jill and Freddy couldn't imagine anyone else helping them tie the knot!
