How We Met

Swiping Right on Love

Kori and Freddie met in a very millennial way, a dating app called Bumble. Who knew that swiping right would turn into a lifetime of adventures.

The Proposal

In the breathtaking setting of Yosemite National Park, Kori and Freddie set out on what was described as a very light 10-mile hike. Starting at Glacier Point, the trail led past three stunning waterfalls on the way down to the valley floor. Freddie had a ring hidden in his backpack and spent the entire hike flirting with Kori, making the miles fly by while she remained completely unaware of the surprise waiting for her. At the edge of the largest waterfall, Nevada Falls, Freddie finally stopped and said a few magical words: “You know how much I love you, right? Will you marry me?” Shocked and teary-eyed, Kori replied, “Are you serious? Yes!” sealing the moment with a sweet kiss. The final miles went by quickly thanks to adrenaline and a celebratory shot or two of vodka. The rest of the trip was filled with sore legs, happy hearts, and an outpouring of love from friends and family.
