How We Met

It was a beautiful fall day in Morgantown and it was GAME DAY!! LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!! I was headed to my bestfriend's apartment for pregame tailgating (Cassi Wise current bridesmaid). Fred, who was working in Ohio, was in Morgantown for the weekend to visit with his best friend (Mike Wise current groomsaman). I walked into the apartment and quickly became interested in the handsome fellow laying on the couch in his underwear. I was even more intrigued when he came over to talk to me in the kitchen and started to fold their laundry. He had to be a keeper if he folds laundry ;) I was pretty quiet and very busy with school so Fred had to be quite the charmer to keep my attention. He knew how to keep me happy in the middle of stressful study sessions at the library delivering Starbucks, blue rasperry nerds slushies from Sonic and ice cream. We hit a road block pretty fast when Fred admitted his loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fred still likes the Steelers but has since been persuaded to become a Cleveland Browns fan. He was not allowed in the Weiser household to meet my dad "father of the bride Jim Weiser" until that was all cleared up. Fred took me on a romantic first date to Puglioni's in Morgantown for an Italian fine dining experience. We even got the good wine:) We officially started dating 12/13/14 and started to fall in love.

The Proposal

12/25/18

It was 12/23/18 and we were on our way home to Vandergrift Pa for Christmas festivities at my mom and dads the Weiser household. On our way home Fred started to ask me if I wanted to go out to eat that evening and he insisted we go somewhere that was nice. Little did I know he was planning a proposal. We agreed on some type of steak or BBQ and I insisted "Texas Roadhouse". He was not satisfied with my answer and was searching for something in the city of Pittsburgh that was more charming. I thought Texas Roadhouse was fine and informed him my sister "maid of honor" Lyndsey was coming. Fred wanted just the two of us to go and I didn't understand why. Lyndsey was a little more aware of the situation and insisted we go together alone. She did not know for sure but was guessing a proposal was coming. I was clueless. Fred did not find his proposal location of choice in Pittsburgh that evening and we ended up at Pork N Beans in Pittsburgh. Fred held the heavy weight of the ring in his pocket throughout Christmas searching for a romantic opportunity but did not find it in Pa. We headed home on Christmas day to Cabins WV. I started cleaning the house and unpacking and Fred insisted I sit down and relax the rest of Christmas. I sat down by the Christmas tree in our house and he came out of the room and got down on 1 knee. He asked me to marry him. As tears filled our eyes I said yes. He couldn't of chose a more romantic place to propose. What better place than where our love for eachother has grown and bloomed over the years. He could of proposed anywhere and I would of been just as touched knowing I get to spend the rest of my life with my true soulmate. I wrote the following in my journal on 12/25/2018. At about 8:30 PM Fred proposed to me by the Christmas tree with baby Gus sleeping at my feet. Tonight was one and the 1st BEST nights of my life. This is where our adventure beings. I said yes of course to the man who makes my heart full of laughter happiness and LOVE.
