In February 2025, we took a road trip (with Noodle!) down to Palm Beach Gardens, FL to spend a few weeks with Lauren's parents. On the 18th, Nick's parents, sister, and their two dogs flew down to join us for a few days. We planned on going for a fancy dinner, and Nick insisted on getting dressed up, taking the dogs to the beach to tire them out, then dropping them off home quickly and heading to dinner. Nick, Lauren and Noodle took a separate car and headed to the beach, with Lauren expecting everyone else to follow. After a couple minutes of walking on the beach at sunset and "waiting" for everyone, Nick got down on one knee! It couldn't have been more perfect. That beach held a special place in our hearts already because we've been going there for years, bringing dinner and watching all the dogs run around during sunset. We spent countless evenings there talking about our future plans, our life goals, and how badly we wanted a dog and couldn't wait until the time was right to get one. When we got Noodle, we'd go without her as she's too big to fly, and dream about the day we could finally get her there. This trip was the first time we were able to bring her down to our favorite spot. It was only fitting that we made one more major memory there and that Noodle was present for it!
