FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is Black Tie Optional. For women, this means an evening gown (florals encouraged), and for men, a dark suit and tie or tuxedo are appropriate. The ceremony and reception will both be held indoors. Cocktail hour will be held outdoors.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We plan for the ceremony to begin at the church around 4:00 PM. As it is a Friday in Washington, DC, traffic is possible, so we kindly ask that you plan accordingly to ensure timely arrival.

Question

What if I plan to drive?

Answer

If you choose to drive, complimentary parking is available in the lot behind the reception venue at St. Francis Hall. A shuttle will be available to transport guests to the church ceremony at approximately 3:30 PM. We do not recommend driving between venues.

Question

Will transportation be provided between venues?

Answer

Yes. Shuttles will be provided from the church to the reception following the ceremony, and from the reception to the after-party, so guests can relax and enjoy the evening.

Question

What is the recommended transportation to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend using a rideshare service to arrive on time. While metro is not advised, the Judiciary Square station is a three minute walk from the ceremony.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page for details of our hotel block.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We respectfully request no children at the reception, allowing all of our guests to enjoy an adults-only evening.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding!
