When you know, you know

Somehow, every part of our story feels both unexpected and meant to be at the exact same time. We’re both Iowa natives with deep agricultural roots and so many shared values and memories from growing up, but life originally took us in completely different directions. Nick to the East Coast and Bailey to the West Coast. After years of different cities, career growth, and chapters, we both eventually found our way back to Minneapolis, where we met and built a life together alongside our two dog sons, Remy and Ace. From the beginning, being together just felt right. By our fifth date, we had already booked a trip to Greece together, never knowing it would later become the place where we’d get engaged. In very “us” fashion, Nick proposed in Santorini the night before a massive sandstorm rolled through the island. It was romantic, chaotic, and beautiful all at the same time. It will forever be a memory we’ll laugh about and love. Arizona has always been deeply personal to both of us, which made it feel like the obvious place to start this next chapter. It’s where Bailey began her nursing career, and where Nick spent so much of his childhood visiting his grandparents in Scottsdale. Over the years, it became one of our favorite places to visit. We always knew we wanted our wedding to feel like a warm winter getaway for the people we love most, and Arizona has always been that to us. Even more special, we’ll be getting married on Nick’s grandmother’s birthday, something that feels especially meaningful because Nick’s parents were also married on one of his grandparents’ birthday. We love the sentiment and connection behind that, and it makes the day feel even more full of family and love. We truly cannot wait to celebrate this weekend with all of our favorite people!
