Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Ethan Frayne

Best Man

It was a warm summer morning in Akrotiri, Cyprus. The date was September 1st, 2002, and Ryan was summoned into a hospital room by his mother and father. Upon entering the room, he saw his mum holding a day-old child in a pink blanket. He was under the impression he was about to have a little brother, but now becomes greatly concerned at the thought of having a little sister. After a few minutes of confusion, he is told that the hospital had actually ran out of blue blankets and his sibling was indeed a boy. Overcome with joy, Ryan now knows he has a lifelong best friend and arch nemesis in the form of a baby brother. After twenty-one years, tons of hugs, many petty arguments, and a countless number of intense FIFA matches, that pink wrapped infant is now the best man at his wedding. Hello, my name is Ethan, and I am Ryan’s little brother.

Groomsman

Daniella’s got an unfair advantage, I can’t really tell the story of how we met. But I do remember the day I met Ryan. Everyone got all dressed up and went to a nice restaurant in Town Center, it was a whole event. I have no idea what people were saying, I was bored and high school me really could not have cared less, but I imagine it was a mix of probing questions and Ryan pretending he wasn’t stressed. What I do remember is I got bored enough to start talking. Big mistake. My shins bore the brunt of the consequences. I might’ve not gotten to know him then, but I’m glad that in the years since I’ve gotten to make up for it many times over. It’s a plus that I make it out without physical damage most of the times, unless Bailey has something to say about that…

Carl Fuhs

Groomsman

In high school, a new kid with a weird accent showed up to swim practice one day. Within a few weeks, we were best friends suffering through breaststroke sets together. 14 years later, he’s still convinced that I take ice baths at work and I still think that he has a funny accent.

Sean McGill

Groomsman

I first met Ryan while swimming for Cox High School shortly after he came to America, and we became close friends during the summers, lifeguarding at the Oceanfront. Our friendship blossomed over the years over our shared interest in the finer things in life, such as 7-11 nachos.

Deion Dean

Groomsman

When Ryan first moved to Virginia Beach, I knew him as a competition, as we would race often during high school, club, and summer league swim meets. I enjoyed our friendly rivalry during those times as we would talk and wish each other the best before those races. I got news that he would be transferring to George Mason and our friendship quickly grew from there. He has always been someone that has supported and motivated me to be the best that I can be in and out of the pool.

Joshua Dixon

Groomsman

I was forced to be friends with Ryan in 2013 when we were lined up to room together in college. 10 years later we roomed together again and instead of swimming together, he is now my Kevin De Bruyne to my Haaland in our social soccer league.

Mark Wilson

Groomsman

Ryan and I became friends in high school when he moved to Virginia Beach and we started swimming together. But swimming itself was just the introduction; it was all the peripheral activities that launched our friendship. We’d hang out before and after practice, then we started driving each other around town, spending our summers working at the beach…all while withstanding his dad’s constant stream of trash talk. Our friendship has evolved with our lives, and I’m so thrilled to celebrate Ryan and Daniella’s marriage with them!

Harrison Pierce

Officiant

My name is Harrison Pierce and I was blessed to meet this beautiful skinny Welsh man in high school, while swimming for Tide. Little did I know we would become incredible friends, teammates, and even rivals depending on the swim season. Throughout the 12 years of our friendship we have had many firsts experienced together. Ryan was the first person to shave my back, we shared our first ice bath experience together, and even the first time I’ve been to Europe, was with Ryan. He was the first and last man I shared a bed with and the first time I’ve ever experienced the true wonder and joy of Boxing Day was with Ryan. I’m grateful for all the firsts and the many more adventures to come.

Isabelle Guzman

Maid of Honor

Daniella and I technically met in 2013 at a volleyball tournament (although one of us does not remember the encounter). Daniella and her family went to the tournament to watch their prima, Erica, play and made the official introductions. Our friendship truly kicked off Daniella’s first year at a frat house date function in 2014. This was the first of many college parties and darties, and by fall of 2015 we were becoming great friends and knew we would be friends for life! What truly sealed the deal were the daily library and study sessions on Brandon Avenue with our shared love of goldfish, Fifth Harmony, and movie nights.

My first memories of Daniella smell like freshly brewed coffee and warm chocolate chip cookies, glow like the candles she always has lit, and feel like home. We met in her second year at UVA—my third—and I knew immediately that I wanted to be friends with this girl. I doubt that anyone has ever met Daniella and not felt that way. My happiest memories from college are simple ones from days and nights spent in the apartment where I lived on Monroe Lane with Daniella and our friend (her maid of honor!!), Isabelle. In that apartment, all three of us always gathered in Daniella’s room—the only room with a full-length mirror—so that Daniella could advise us on outfits and lend us her skirts. In that apartment, Daniella taught me how to make guacamole, introduced me to Manchego cheese, and watched Grey’s Anatomy with me. That’s who Daniella is: she’s the person who shares her heart, her skills, her hopes, her life with the people she loves, and it’s impossible not to love her back. Pieces of her are braided into everything that I am, and she’s with me every single day of my life, even when months pass without seeing each other. In that UVA apartment, we laughed and we cried and we held each other when life was scary and hard. In that apartment, we became sisters. And in that apartment, I first met Ryan. I love Daniella with all my heart, and I love the way that Ryan loves her too.

Bridesmaid

Having known Daniella since we were around 7 years old, we’ve celebrated many milestones together. From kids eating popsicles in her backyard fort, to teenagers taking a million photos so we could update our profile photos, to adults about to celebrate her and Ryan. She truly is my lifelong friend. I’ve been so incredibly blessed to have her in my life and I am so excited to stand next to her in this chapter!

High school Spanish Class , 2012. There was a girl across from me who had the prettiest curly hair and was somehow really, really good at Spanish… I was new to town and Daniella, being the angel she is, took me right in. Our friendship kicked off seamlessly. Countless mall trips, long talks over chicken nuggets, and even longer beach days later, I knew that I’ve found a sister for life. 10+ years together and she’s my #1 dance partner, my favorite hours long phone call, and the ultimate support system.

High school besties ❤️ Who would have known that a boring high school orientation would lead to a forever friendship?! She is my sister from another mother 😜. We were inseparable! From classes, to after school study sessions, to beach trips, music jams in the car, Panera, trosmo dates, and photoshoots at random places! We even had our own language (sessy, oh my favorite Daniella expression “MERPPP”🤣). If a guy liked one of us, they already knew they had to get the other’s approval 🤣 Then college happened, and hangouts turned into visiting each other (exposed her to questionable downtown Richmond nightlife and she took me to Charlottesville Greek life parties). Then we got old and would rather sip wine from my Richmond futon 🤣. Fast forward to now when we become each other’s bridesmaids to our weddings ❤️ To say the least, I love this bride so very much and I cannot wait to celebrate her and Ryan’s love! ❤️

Daniella and I bonded in school (first year and second year suitemates) over our mutual love for coffee and our Pride and Prejudice marathons, but over the years our friendship has become much more. Daniella is one of my favorite people to laugh with and while we don’t see each other often, she will always be someone I deeply love and trust. As a friend she is silly but also tender, the life of the party but also a good listener. She brings light and warmth into my life, and I am thankful to call her friend. 💚😊

How did I meet Daniella Nancy Wornom? I was a nanny for five years and would volunteer at his school. In fourth grade he ended up in, you guessed it, Ms. Wornom and Mrs. Torres's class. When volunteering, I would invite Daniella to wherever that weekend's adventure was planned to take place. Either she had something to do for work (because she is one of the most amazing teachers I have ever met and cares so deeply for her students) or she was going to be seeing Ryan (because she loves him or something). Once she said yes, that was it. We have celebrated birthdays, made many lists, and have had quite the adventures through the years. Some of my favorite memories are playing true American, where almost as much beer went on the couch as was consumed, and any boat day we have ever had. The amount of memories throughout the years are priceless. I feel extremely lucky to have a friend like Daniella and a bonus friend of Ryan, and obviously you can’t forget Bailey. Daniella is always there to listen with no judgment. She has the biggest, kindest, and most determined heart to do anything she can for her kiddos, friends, and family. She is always in for a good time. You may have to call Ryan for a ride and return a few things to her the next day, but they are always some of the most care-free, joyful nights. Thank you for being such a supportive, uplifting, caring, and loving person. You and Ryan are so lucky to have found each other and I can’t wait to celebrate y’all’s love.
