We met while volunteering at Swansea Ambulance, and then the universe brought us together even more by working at Brewster Ambulance on Ambulance 63! We did not talk much before working at Brewster where we became close friends and then best friends. Then Ricky wanted to be more than friends and would only agree to pick up a shift if Nicole and Ricky would hang out after work. This was the best start to a relationship built on friendship. The first official date was a Red Sox game and we have been together ever since.

We were going on a regular date night and everything seemed normal except for something a little suspicious in the air. Ricky had planned a sunset sailing cruise out of Newport for that night. Before he stated that Nicole could not bring Bentley and that she should dress up so some suspicion was a little high as Bentley is always the third wheel in this relationship. When Nicole and Ricky arrived to Newport Ricky insisted on bringing this back pack cooler with him, and then walked to the docks where they had had the sunset cruises before. All of a sudden Ricky grabbed Nicole's hand and said come this way. Ricky then brought Nicole to a different private dock where they met with a captain and where whisked away on his personal sail boat. Nicole was difenetly suprised at this exclusive sailing experience. When they were out on the water Ricky tried sailing and was very natural behind the stern. Soon Ricky invited Nicole to sit on the bow of the boat and they sat talking and enjoying the views. Then Ricky stated he wanted to get some photos and stood up and helped Nicole stand up, their gait was unsteady as the waves rocked against the boat. After taking some photos Ricky got down on one knee and asked Nicole if she would spend the rest of their lives together which Nicole promptly responded YES!!! Ricky and Nicole sat back down on the boat and enjoyed the views while Ricky revealed that he had packed champagne and champagne flutes, along with chocolate-covered strawberries, and Nicols's favorite bread and butter.
