As most people do these days, we met online! It was May of 2020, peak COVID-19 shutdown in Michigan, and we decided to have a social distanced date. At that time, the best option we had was to walk around Michigan State's campus with masks on, HAHA! And.... since you are reading this, we’re sure you can tell it went well. Many social distanced dates where we discussed sports and movies later, and we're getting married!

Basically every year since we started dating, we have gotten pictures taken together. 2024 was no different and Taylor had planned to have photos taken on MSU's campus for Nick's birthday - however after looking at engagement rings in December 2023 this one felt a little different. About two weeks leading up to the photos, Taylor asked Nick "You promise me you are not proposing during these photos right?" to which Nick replied "No, I'm not." Well, on June 1, 2024 Nick got down on one knee in front of Beaumont Tower and asked Taylor to marry him. (Spoiler Alert: SHE SAID YES!)
