During the day, my mom Nicole, Todd, Kevin, Breanne, Andrew and I went to Apple Hill. We spent all day in a few different locations including High Hill, Boa Vista, and Abel’s. While there we went to the Boa Vista pumpkin patch where we each picked a pumpkin to bring home and balanced them on our head for a picture. In the evening, we went to dinner at Sheldon Inn located in Elk Grove, CA. After dinner, Andrew told me we had one more step to make before the evening was done. This stop was located out in the back field of the Jetmar Way house, which was also the location of where we had our first kiss and started dating. When we arrived, we found a blanket laid out on the ground, covered with several LED candles, a bouquet of pink roses, a bottle of champagne with two champagne flutes painted by Andrew’s grandma Linda of two red birds kissing while perched on a tree branch, and a comfy pillow to lay on and stargaze. After sitting down and popping the champagne, Andrew says “just to think, our first kiss was right over there” (pointing left). I responded saying “no, I’m pretty sure it was over here” (pointing right). Since we disagreed, Andrew suggested we go stand in both spots to settle it. We shared a moment in each spot but neither of us could agree on the other’s location. Andrew stated we should split the difference and meet in the middle. Andrew then said “ now that we are in the spot of our first kiss…gets down on one knee then proposes. He then proceeds to call his "professional photographer" which ended up being both his parents Matt and Sara, my mom Nicole, Todd, and Aunt Sally. After many photos, tears, and laughter we all went inside to celebrate together as a newly engaged couple.
