We met at a Wednesday night youth group at our church, The Crossing. Ethan showed up, not really knowing anyone, and approached someone who happened to be friends with Frannie. Over time, they kept seeing each other at Youth. "I enjoyed being around her, even though she was weird... and a little crazy," says Ethan, "Frannie was the only person that texted me on a daily basis." A few months later, we both attended a friend's Halloween party and spent two hours walking around in the cold, talking. "That was the first time I thought he might like me," says Frannie.
The day after closing on our new house in Rolla, MO, we took a trip with our friends to Forest Park's Art Hill, a place we used to frequent in high school "because it was free and we were poor". After trekking through the Art Museum, we went outside to the water basin to take photos. And, in a spot that we had frequented for almost seven and a half years, Ethan popped the question!
