Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Rhonda Little and Frank Childress
There is so much to see, do, and eat in and around Spring and the metro-Houston area! If you are joining us from out of town, and plan on spending a few days in the area, here are a few of our favorite places:
Ambriza Social Mexican Kitchen

Ambriza Social Mexican Kitchen

10115 Louetta Road, Houston, TX 77070

This is our go-to place for fantastic authentic Mexican food. Try their tuna tostadas, ceviche, any of the enchiladas, and their award-winning cucumber-serrano margarita.

El Tiempo Cantina - Vintage

El Tiempo Cantina - Vintage

114 Vintage Park Boulevard, Houston, TX 77070
, (281) 374-0500

El Tiempo is a great Tex-Mex spot for fajitas and margs. They have two locations close to Oak Tree Manor: Vintage Park (linked here) and in The Woodlands. On Saturday evenings at the Vintage Park location, if you eat on the patio, there is usually a local musician playing. If you get fajitas, add the quail!

Hobbit Cafe

Hobbit Cafe

2243 Richmond Avenue, Houston, TX 77098
, (713) 526-5460

It comes in pints, my Precious! The Hobbit Cafe has and incredible selection of mead, wines, and amazing burgers - what more could a traveler want?

Tony's New York Pizza II

Tony's New York Pizza II

9203 Louetta Road, Spring, TX 77379

Tony's has been Frank and Roman's favorite pizza spot for years, and now Rho and her kids love it, too. Amazing pizza. Unpretentious, laid back, and homey.

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar

27800 Interstate 45 North, Oak Ridge North, TX 77385

Whiskey Cake is a farm to kitchen gem. They do not believe in microwaves, and everything, including their amazing Old Fashioned, is made from scratch. It's a great spot for dinner or brunch! Get the Whiskey Cake - it's incredible!

The Blind Finch

The Blind Finch

5210 Farm to Market 2920, Spring, TX 77388
, (281) 352-2060

We love this speakeasy hidden in an unassuming strip mall in Spring. You'll need to walk around back to get in, because of Prohibition and all, but the ambiance and the drinks are spectacular. They encourage 20s dress, and were incredible to us when we took our engagement pictures there.

Holman Draft Hall

Holman Draft Hall

820 Holman Street, Houston, TX 77002
, (713) 533-9392

This is a marvelous open-air bar in Midtown Houston. Tons of beers on tap and great pub food. We celebrated Rho's 50th birthday here.

Little Woodrow's Tomball

Little Woodrow's Tomball

11241 Timbertech Lane, Tomball, TX 77375
, (281) 516-9993

This is a great place to grab a beer and watch an Astros game. We like this place because it's named for our English Cream Golden Retriever, Woodrow (okay, not really), it's pet and cigar-friendly, the atmosphere is great and they make a great pizza.

Old Town Spring

Old Town Spring

403 Main Street, Spring, TX 77373

Historic Old Town Spring is home to over 100 independently owned shops, restaurants and artisans. You'll find one-of-a-kind treasures, great food, local musicians and even a great cigar-friendly bar called Prohibition!

Market Street

Market Street

9595 Six Pines Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380

Market Street is a higher-end shopping district in The Woodlands with shops and restaurants.

George Mitchell Preserve

George Mitchell Preserve

5171 Flintridge Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381
, (281) 210-3800

Are things feeling too people-y? Then this is a great place to escape into nature. Hiking trails, bike trails, and peace and quiet.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion

2005 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380
, (281) 364-3010

Fantastic concert venue in The Woodlands. If you're planning to send a few days in the area, and want to catch a concert while you're here, this is the place.

For all the days along the way
