We met in the fall of 2014 while attending Oglethorpe University. Sam was in his junior year and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity on campus. I was a freshman and had just joined Chi Omega. There happened to be a fraternity date night that October and afterward I was invited to the SAE house by some of my older sorority sisters. Of course I said yes and jumped right into the back of a stranger's truck with the other girls! Thankfully, that stranger happened to be Sam, and we became fast friends that evening. We remained friends for many months until we realized we might actually be more, and the rest is history!

Since watching Kate Middleton marry Prince William in 2011, I had been dreaming of a London adventure! Travelling together throughout the years and a number of vacation trips have held some of our most precious memories together. Since 2019 was the first year that we were both out of school, and we decided this would be the year we finally went to London! We began planning a September visit, and created an action-packed itinerary with something new to do or see each day. Since we love visiting the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for date nights here at home, we were most excited for our visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew. While at the gardens, Sam insisted we take a photo together with his GoPro. We marched around for what felt like hours looking for the "perfect spot" until we finally came to a beautiful, clear spot right in front of one of the most beautiful greenhouses! We set the timer and propped the camera on a bench, and just as we both started to pose, Sam pulled out the ring! It was an instant "yes!" We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
