I met Frankie when I was a sophomore and he was a junior; I decided to join the cross-country team that year, and that's where our paths first crossed. At first, we were just friends, but it didn’t take long for us to realize how much we liked each other. After a couple of months, Frankie finally asked me out, but here's the funny part: we’d already said "I love you" before we were even dating, knowing deep down that our connection was something special. When Frankie went to college in Rhode Island, we started our long-distance journey. I would take the train up to visit him on weekends, and he would come home whenever he could. After a long year apart, I finally welcomed Frankie home for good, and the five years of long-distance came to an end. Our next chapter was finally beginning, and it was everything we had dreamed about for all these years. Getting married is something we have always talked about.
