Shabbat Attire
Please join us as we are called up to the Torah (also known as an Aufruf) as a soon-to-be married couple! This will take place as part of Saturday morning services at our synagogue in Scotch Plains (where Jake is the Cantor!). Kiddush Luncheon to follow. 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Family and Wedding Party
A private, intimate ceremony with our immediate families and bridal party where we will sign our Ketubah (the traditional marriage contract).
6:00 pm - 6:30 pm
A pre-ceremony celebratory gathering for our respective bridesmaids, groomsmen, and immediate family, culminating in the two groups coming together for the Bedeken ceremony (the Veiling of the Bride).
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Black-tie Optional
The Wedding Ceremony. In the Jewish tradition, this is called our "chuppah," referencing the wedding canopy we will stand under.
7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
