Thanks for being a part of our journey

Leading up to their first date, Rachel and Luke grew to know each other better through mutual friends in the spring of 2021. That summer, they commonly spent Thursday nights at the Kansas State University recreation fields "watching" a friend play in the community ultimate Frisbee league (they spent most of their time conversing with one another) until they left for respective family trips in mid-June (Luke secretly planned his family trip for the same time as Rachel's). During their trips, Luke began texting Rachel at the advisement of the Frisbee friend, which culminated in a daily routine of multi-hour conversations. Upon their respective returns, Luke stumbled his way through asking Rachel out on a date, to which Rachel eagerly agreed. The rest, as they say, is history.

As the anniversary of their dating relationship approached, the question of matrimony imminently loomed. Through thick and thin, peaks and valleys, Rachel and Luke had grown in their love and commitment for one another, and thus they began investigating that most conspicuous artifact of betrothal: a ring. Gleaning Rachel's stylistic preferences through the perusal of several antique stores, Luke devised a secretive endeavor to acquire a particular favorite of Rachel's with his beloved fiance unaware. The secret took an emotional toll on Luke, but with the blessing of marriage awaiting him, he mustered his fortitude and ventured back to that nostalgic occasion a year removed from his first date inquiry: the Kansas State University recreation fields to watch ultimate Frisbee. After the contest, Luke descended to one knee and revealed the ring, to Rachel's surprise and delight, and the two began their engagement.
