Frank & Tory met on a bus. The Humanities Scholars’ club was meeting that week, and Millbury and Sutton needed to share a school bus to get their students to the event. That bus was the perfect place for the boy in the pink polo and the girl in the red dress to have flirty eye contact — the kind of eye contact usually reserved for the “ones who got away.” But this wasn’t going to be one of those times. Tory made sure of it. A few days later there was a Facebook message in Frank’s Inbox: “Hi, I’m Tory the Creeper.” A long message thread lead to a pair of huuuge crushes, and the two finally started dating just before high school graduation — a great idea for two people who were about to go to college 311 miles apart. Countless long car rides between BU and Syracuse connected the two for holiday weekends and sorority formals, with Skype sleepovers sprinkled in between. Junior year brought them to Europe for semesters studying abroad, and while the journey from Dublin to London meant they had to trade their cars for airplanes, the two were now only 288 miles apart. An excursion in Edinburgh and a weekend in Paris capped off the semester and marked the beginning of the end of long distance for Frank & Tory. A few years after graduation the two finally closed the distance for good, moving into a tiny apartment in Beacon Hill together. They love hunting for antiques, helping their local Irish pubs stay open for business, and above all, building their new life together. We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you who have helped us add so many fun memories along the way!
