Our love story begins at Wayne State University where we both lived in Atchinson Hall and served on Hall Council. We were young and clueless about relationships, but through ping pong games, study sessions in the UGL, and late night conversations in the Student Center, a beautiful love story developed. Together we experienced all the joys of first love and endured the struggles of young adulthood. We have grown together and encouraged one another through graduations, first jobs, and first apartments. God has brought us together and we are excited for him to continue to guide us as we embark on this new journey!

We took a brief trip to Daytona, Florida during the summer of 2017 where we set out to do at least one activity a day (a scavenger hunt, the beach, etc.). The best activity happened on the last night of the trip. Rynita was not in on this one at all. I planned this while back in Detroit and envisioned it happening on the beach or at a Lighthouse. However, it started to rain heavily that day and was thundering a little bit, so I ended up PROPOSING in our hotel room. She was surprised and emotional, and for some minutes did not believe that I was serious. Now almost two years later, we thank God for that great trip, and are excited to be getting married!
