Frank and I met the very first day of college (move in day) in August of 2013. We lived in the same hall, just a few doors down from each other. Not long after starting our freshman year of college, we became best friends and soon became inseparable. October 2, 2015, during our junior year of college and after years of people telling us that we would end up together, we finally started dating. We spent every day together during our last two years of college and had some amazing times. Graduation was a bitter-sweet time for us because we knew this meant we would have to start a long-distance relationship. I began my first teaching job as an elementary school teacher in Monticello NY, and Frank started his Doctor of Physical Therapy program on Long Island. Being long-distance was not always easy, but Frank and I were both committed to making the best out of it and our relationship always stayed strong. Even though we rocked long distance we are both very eager for it to be over! Fast forward to September 29, 2019, Frank and I took a little get-a-way trip to Lake Placid to celebrate 4 years of dating, and this is where he popped the question! I was speechless and overcome with happiness, I almost couldn’t believe it. I was in complete shock as I was not expecting this until at least a year from now. Frank had accomplished his greatest surprise yet!
