We ask that all guests stay with us at Tenuta di Monaciano in order to experience the full wedding weekend, as the Villa and estate are the center of all meals, lodging, and activities. We suggest you follow the steps outlined on our "Travel & Accommodations" page on how to request a room. The accommodations are restored Tuscan farmhouses which host individual apartments on the property and each include private bedroom(s), bathroom(s) and kitchen. The farmhouses are all on the top of a hill and offer an unparalleled view of the vineyards and olive groves that have made the Tuscan landscape famous. Housing will be assigned prior to the weekend with preferences in mind. Included in your accommodations are meals provided by Chef Alessio Sedran for 4 days (breakfast, lunch, dinner), swimming pool, parking, linens and towels (1 per guest) at time of arrival.
Check-in is from 3PM - 7:00PM of your provided arrival date. When booking your travel, if you do not plan to arrive during the check-in window, please let Gabrielle & Frank know, that way we can inform Tenuta di Monaciano to have staff on-site (please indicate this in the lodging form on the Travel & Accommodations tab). If your flight or travel gets delayed on the day of, please call the Reception Desk at Tenuta di Monaciano (Reception +39 0577 356805 or +39 351 0022726). Check-out is 10AM on the day you are leaving. A late check-out of 1PM can be possible if there are no check-ins on the same day. A late check-out can be requested before the wedding at a cost of 50€ per apartment. Please note, if you decide to extend your check-out time, you will be responsible for the late check-out fee.
Of course! If you are interested in exploring the Tuscan region, Tenuta di Monaciano is in a prime location with affordable prices, located only 10 minutes from Siena, 45 minutes from San Gimignano and an hour from Florence. We, along with our families, will be staying at Tenuta di Monaciano from June 8th - June 15th and if you so desire, you are able to extend your stay before June 10th and/or after June 14th, as availability permits. Please indicate on the Lodging Reservation Form on the Travel & Accommodations section of our website and we will pass your information along to Tenuta di Monaciano.
Refer to the Weekend Itinerary tab for all of the events during the weekend which we hope you will be able to attend! Please note that most of our activities are outdoors and include some walking over grassy areas and gravel. There are also many activity options at Tenuta di Monaciano, and the surrounding areas. Depending on your interests, you can bring a swimsuit for the pool, sneakers for walking/hiking/bike riding or extra outfits for tours of Siena, wine tasting or cooking classes - the possibilities are endless! As always with international travel, we recommend bringing the following: -Any relevant travel/personal/medical documents (Passports, license, vaccination card, credit cards and insurance cards) - Camera - Power Adapter (Type F or L Adapter) - Euros
The Villa and all farmhouse apartments will have WiFi access. Depending on how far you venture around the property, the WiFi signal may be lost. If you do not want to rely solely on WiFi, we encourage you to call your cell phone service provider and inquire about an international plan.
Yes! There are two supermarkets nearby as well as a few restaurants. SUPERMARKETS - COOP: Strada del Paradiso n°1 (6.5km away from Monaciano). Open from 8AM-8PM. - Simply Store: Via Maestri del Lavoro n°30 (7,5 km away from Monaciano) Open from 8:30AM to 9PM RESTAURANTS - L’Asinello Ristorante, Via della Vigna Nuova, Villa a Sesta - La Taverna della Berardenga, Castelnuovo Berardenga - Pizzeria La Veranda, Piazza Calabria, 20, Siena - Pizzeria Il Pomodorino, Via Camporegio 13, Siena Tenuta di Monaciano also has a gift store on site (open everyday from 8:30AM - 7:30PM) which sells a selection of local products.

The currency used in Italy is the Euro. You can order Euro bills in various denominations from your bank. Please note that each bank is different but typically can receive Euros within 5 - 7 business days, so please plan ahead! Additionally, please be sure to notify your banking and credit card institutions of your travel ahead of time! Most major credit card networks are accepted in Italy. Make sure to check with your credit card company to understand if they charge any international fees.
