Dawn went to visit her brother Bart in San Diego in August 2024. Bart invited her to watch his band, The Jukebox Junkies, where he played lead guitar, and his friend Frank played bass. Before the show, Bart regaled Dawn with funny stories about this character Frank, including the one about his gig shirt with glued on silver stars that were falling off during a show. Frank made Dawn laugh before they ever met. He certainly put stars in her eyes! He friended Dawn on Facebook, and they began to message and FaceTime - sometimes for 7 hours straight! They talked daily and on October 9th, he asked her to be his girl. They made plans to have an actual real-live date for New Years in San Diego - they were both so nervous, but very happy. It was a wonderful trip!!! Frank faced his fear of flying and ventured out to North Carolina in February. He proposed to Dawn on Valentine's Day at Floyd's Restaurant, under the moonlight. On May 7, 2025, Frank made the move to NC!
