It all started with an Instagram DM, modern romance at its finest. One message led to a first date at a Sixers game, which somehow turned into staying up until 5am talking and learning just about everything there was to know about each other. Safe to say, that one went a little better than expected. From the beginning, it was clear we were a perfect match (or at least a very entertaining one). Alyssa is a full on Disney adult and romance reader, meaning her expectations were… high. Frank, on the other hand, had exactly one true love: the Philadelphia Eagles. That is, until Alyssa came along and managed to take a very close second place. Which honestly, is saying a lot. Over time, we realized that despite our differences (Disney vacations vs. Eagles game schedule clashes), we somehow just worked. These days, our favorite activity is a little less glamorous: getting into bed at the end of the day with our dog Reggie (who somehow takes up 90% of the space), putting on whatever show we’re currently bingeing, and ending the night with Frank rubbing Alyssa’s back until she falls asleep. It’s a routine we take VERY seriously. The proposal? Not even close to what Alyssa had planned. She was fully convinced it would happen in Disney and had the whole moment mapped out in her head. Instead, Frank pulled off something even better, an intimate, perfect proposal surrounded by Eagles decor, with Alyssa wearing an Eagles shirt (of course). It was completely unexpected, very “us,” and absolutely perfect. We can’t wait to start this next chapter as husband and wife, and we’re so excited to celebrate with all of you as we begin this next adventure together.
