There is a large parking lot at the event with parking attendants that will direct you to a parking spot. You could also take a ride-share and be dropped off, however the accessibility of being picked up might be limited.
Comfortable shoes: There will be a good amount of walking. If your costume includes uncomfortable footwear, consider bringing a backup pair to change into after photos. Water bottle: Bring an empty water bottle or a factory-sealed plastic bottle if you’re able to carry one, staying hydrated is very important. Sun protection: Since the event is outdoors for several hours, we suggest bringing sunscreen, a wide-brim hat, and sunglasses in case the sun gets intense. Cash: Many of the talented artisans at the fair prefer cash. While some accept apps (Zelle, PayPal, Venmo) or cards, smaller vendors especially tend to favor cash. Chapstick: Colorado’s hot, dry, high-altitude climate can lead to chapped lips, so we highly recommend bringing chapstick. Extra clothes: Apart from your costume, we recommend bringing a change of clothes in case you overheat. This event takes place in a desert climate during the summer, and some costume materials can get very hot. Small umbrella: A retractable umbrella can be helpful. Colorado summers often have short afternoon thunderstorms, and it can also double as shade. Good attitude: The fair is meant to be a fun, casual experience outside of the ceremony and reception. Out of the ~7 hours Allie and Frank will be there, only about 2.5 hours are “official” wedding events. You’re welcome to leave whenever you’d like, if you want you can come say goodbye, otherwise a text or call the next day will work too ❤️.
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
No. We suggest renting a car or using ride-share services. We are unable to assist in picking up any guests.
The CO Ren Fair is an event that last a little over 2 months, where many unique artisans come to show off their craft. This includes show acts, such as juggling objects on fire, playing various musical instruments, comedy sets, or even animal acts. It also includes craftsmen/craftswomen selling wares, often being metalwork (small daggers, large swords or other weapons, replica armor, replica pistols, handcrafted metal tools and trinkets), a variety of art (such as waxworks and candles, paintings, tapestries, sculpting, and many more). The allure of having our wedding here is to enjoy not only a day with our closest friends and family, but to experience the chaos and energy that it brings.
While a FEAST and cake will be provided, there are many additional food and drink stands throughout the festival if you’d like snacks, desserts, or extra beverages during the day. The feast includes: - ROAST TURKEY LEG - SUCCULENT GRILLED SMOKED SAUSAGE - WENCH’S POTATO SALAD AND PASTA SALAD - EAR OF CORN - VEGETARIAN LASAGNA - QUEEN’S ORCHARD FRESH FRUIT SALAD - CASTLE BAKERY BREADS - ICED COLD LEMONADE AND ICED TEA - MEAD - RED/WHITE WINE - BEER (ALCOHOLIC AND NON-ALCOHOLIC) In case the option's provided don't cover your needs, the festival’s food and beverage vendors are cash only, so we highly recommend bringing cash with you. There are ATMs available on-site, but they typically come with a service fee, so it’s best to plan ahead if you can.
Whatever your GPS says add 45 minutes to 1 hour. The road into the fair parking lot typically causes a lot of traffic in the morning and can cause delays of up to 45 minutes as the morning rush of visitors is parking. You can pay for a close parking lot if you want, however the far parking lot has multiple shuttle busses that bring you most of the way to the entrance. We suggest carpooling if you are able to do so.
