Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is end of day on August 10, 2026. Please note that this date is final due to the necessity of coordinating logistics with the venue and caterers. Thank you for your prompt response!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The recommended attire is elegant and formal. For men: please wear a dress shirt/dress pants and dress shoes, or a suit. For women: please NO WHITE (as it is a westernized wedding tradition) but any other colour is fine for dresses. Colour palette for the wedding is lilac, purple, champagne, rose gold, sage green.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather is still lovely in early September, with chillier evenings. A light coat is advised, if you'll be taking public transportation on the wedding day.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at St. Joseph The Worker Parish in Richmond - 4451 Williams Rd, Richmond, BC V7E 1J7 The reception will take place at the Vancouver Airport Marriot Hotel - 7571 Westminster Hwy, Richmond, BC V6X 1A3

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will be indoors. Post ceremony group photos will be taken outdoors.

What is the wedding day itinerary?

Answer

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, we will have a small reception outside the parish from 12:00 to 1:00pm. There is free time between 1:00-3:00pm and guests are welcome to use this time as they would like. The reception will begin at 4:00pm with a cocktail hour.

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

How do I get to/from the wedding venue?

Answer

Our venues are located in Richmond and so are very accessible by any means of transportation. Visit our ‘Travel’ page for more details.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that you arrive by 10:45am on our wedding day as our ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 am. For the reception - you are welcome to arrive from 4:00pm. See our 'Schedule' page for full details

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There is complimentary parking at both the ceremony and the reception venues.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

For parents attending, we will leave it to your discretion if you will attend with your invited kid(s) when you RSVP.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved hotel block for guests. Please visit our ‘Travel’ page for options and/or reach out to us directly for recommendations.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes, we have a registry located on our ‘Registry’ page. You are welcome to bring gifts on day of.

Should I bring a gift to your wedding?

Answer

Your presence is truly appreciated and that is a gift plenty on its own. If you feel inclined to bring a physical gift we will accept it with deep gratitude; however, there is no pressure to bring anything additional which is outside of our registry.

Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?

Answer

Yes! We recommend checking “Things To Do” on the Travel section of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including coffee shops, spas and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

Our reception will end around midnight. We do not have a planned after-party but one may spontaneously happen - no promises!

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding? Can I post on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. We’ve hired professional photographers and videographers to capture these moments, and we want everyone to be fully present. Once the reception begins, feel free to take photos, videos, and share on social media — we’d love for you to capture the celebration! We’ll also share a link to a shared drive after the wedding where you can upload any photos or videos you’d like us to have.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We will have a buffet style dinner with options for vegetarians/pescatarian and also dairy-free options. We will also have lots of desserts!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

The bar will be a cash bar during the reception. We’ll be offering a complimentary drink to kick off the celebrations, but any additional beverages will be available for purchase. Please plan to bring a debit or credit card for the bar.

If you’re a close friend or family member and already have one of our numbers, you’re welcome to reach out directly. For the wedding day, we’ll share a designated contact person in advance, as we won’t have our phones with us. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
