Muyiwa Ogunleye 39. Bay Area. Currently working in tech and independently releasing music. Both Gabriel and myself were members of Cherubim and Seraphim Church movement Oakland CA, where we studied scripture, praised and worshipped and played musical instruments with the churches band. My earliest impressions of Gabby- he was quiet, good natured and very observant. Then one day at church, he could just play everything. Outside of church, we would see each other at family gatherings over the years. And I watched his passion for art and creativity grow and develop. One day in the East, I saw him painting a mural by house “that’s Gabby!” We spoke for a bit, and the way he was shinning, I knew he was living in his purpose. Once I found out he was doing album art, I tasked him with designing the artwork for the Glory EP. I sent him the music and asked him to create whatever he was inspired to. He also did the artwork for the single Grown. Both pieces are amazing! Continue shining your light. I’m excited for this next stage of your journey and I’m honored to be a part of the ceremony.
