Our Story

How did we get here??

Mike and Sara both attended Gloucester High School, but somehow didn't know each other even existed until Sara was a sophomore and Mike was a junior. They met at the Latoff running program the Summer of 2014 and quickly became friends. They shared jokes at Good Harbor Beach and began to think about each other throughout the day. Sara finally made a move in the fall when she asked Mike if she could go on a ride in his orange sports car. Shortly after, they had their first date at Long Beach Dairy Maid, and after a long night of many laughs, Mike asked Sara to be his girlfriend on 10/13/2014. Neither Mike or Sara could have imagined that in 10 years they would be getting married! Sara and Mike spent the next year enjoying Mike's senior year of high school, and then suddenly he graduated! Another year flew by, and then it was time for Sara to start her journey at Merrimack College (only 45 minutes away, but still further than they had ever been). The next 4 years proved their love, as they became accustomed to nightly facetime calls and frequent weekend adventures. After finishing up at Merrimack early in 2020 due to the pandemic, Mike and Sara decided to adopt a dog named Molly. Molly would become the most spoiled dog on the planet, with paw-rents that love her! Molly spent two years living with Sara, and seeing Mike when he would come to hangout. But finally, Mike and Sara bought their very own home in Rockport in January 2022. This was the start of another amazing chapter in their lives! Since moving in together, there have been dozens of pancakes eaten, countless boat rides, and infinite laughs. However, Mike decided in 2023 that it was time to take the next step. On September 17, 2023, Mike took Sara and Molly to Lighthouse Beach for sunset. The sunsets had been unreal that past week, so Sara didn't think anything of it. Molly (typical) started to dig a hole, and Mike looked in the hole and exclaimed "Molly what's that??" Sara immediately started to cry when she spotted a blue ring pop in the hole. Sara had told Mike many many years ago that she wanted to be proposed to with a blue ring pop, and there it was. Mike then got down on a knee and asked Sara to marry him, with her very own real blue ring - an aquamarine. Sara didn't even look at the ring because she was already hugging Mike and bawling her eyes out. After Mike put the ring on her, they both looked over to see that Molly also said "yes" by taking the ring pop and eating it. So this is where we will leave off. We can't wait to continue our story with our closest friends and family by our side on 11/2/2024.
