Wedding Party

Paulina “Pau” Villanueva

Maid of Honor

Fun Fact: will ask you to play sweater weather at some point during a night out Embarrassing story: discovered who Timothee Chalamet was in 2020 & watched all his movies within a week. How I met the couple: I met Yary in 9th grade when we were 15. After a week of knowing each other, she invited me to her quince and we’ve been besties ever since. But my favorite memory with the couple is Oktoberfest 2019.

Angielee “Angie” Medina

Maid of Honor

Fun Fact: Can go bar for bar to any Bad Bunny Song just like my first grade students. Embarrassing story: I once drove 4 hours with the bride to see Sabrina Carpenter for one night with no tickets just a dream. Favorite memory: My favorite memory with the couple is definitely anytime during Cabo 2021, when Yary and I tricked everyone to out drink us and Glizzy dog was born.

Samantha Sandoval

Bridesmaid

Fun fact: I love my solo car karaoke sessions! So therapeutic. Embarrassing story: I have a habit of leaving half-eaten apples everywhere—mostly in my car. I eat a lot while driving, and one morning two coworkers caught me taking a huge bite at a red light. My car is basically a fishbowl, so they had a full view and teased me all morning. I was definitely embarrassed 😅 How I met the couple: I grew up with Yary—she’s my “little” cousin—and I even had the honor of being her confirmation sponsor. We’ve gone through college and grad school together as first-generation students, always supporting each other 🩷 I met Kiko in 2016 through mutual friends, and from the start it was obvious he and Yary were perfect for each other. I’m so glad “el amigo” stuck around and became family.

Giselle Perez

Bridesmaid

Fun fact: I will travel anywhere in the world to watch a soccer game. Embarrassing story: throwing up in my mom’s tamale pot (did not have any tamales in it). Favorite memories: My favorite memory with Yary is peeing behind a punch buggy in Mazamitla. My favorite memory with Kiko is when we were kids he gave me a firework and it popped in my hand.

Lupita Perez

Bridesmaid

Fun fact: I have a LEGO collection that’s constantly growing. Embarrassing story: I failed gym in high school and had to take it in summer school. Favorite memory: Mazamitla with the couple.

Gabby Valencia

Bridesmaid

Fun fact: I thrive on being helpful and showing up for the people I love. Embarrassing story: The first time Yary & I went out for her birthday, I blacked out and was throwing up the whole ride back home 🤣 Favorite memory: Any moment with Yary is never a dull moment. I love that I can be open and share anything with her. I’m so grateful to call her family.

Caroline Londa Arevalo

Bridesmaid

Fun fact: I took the pictures on the invitation and main page of this website! Embarrassing story: I was walking to work with a chicken sandwich I’d just bought from Stop & Shop, only to realize when I arrived that half of it was gone. I’d been carrying the aluminum bag upside down, and it must have fallen out somewhere along the way. I was starving that day. How I met the couple: I met Yary through our first job as being physician associates!

Megan Stevens

Bridesmaid

Fun fact: I love coffee, and love going to explore new coffee shops. Embarrassing story: My close friends call me Great Dane. Favorite memory: Dancing the night away at Mean Fiddler.

Natalia Lizardo

Bridesmaid

Favorite memory: When we almost died in Samaná. What we thought was a whale-watching boat turned out to be a tiny yola with whales literally underneath us. Then a storm hit on the way back, none of us could swim except Yaritza, and afterward she casually told us she spent the entire ride planning how to save everyone if the boat flipped 🤣.

Angel “El Huesos” Perez

Best Man

My brother and best man. Even though we’re close in age, he’ll always be my little brother. We’ve made a lifetime of memories together—from countless video game battles (most of which I lost) to epic all-star soccer games running door to door at our house in Mexico. He’s been by my side through everything, and I couldn’t imagine this day without him standing next to me.

Yair “El Cuñado” Herrera

Groomsman

My fiancée’s little brother. We didn’t spend much time together as he is much younger, but over the years we’ve gotten to know each other better and get along great. He’s a good guy, and I’m glad to have him as part of this crew and as family.

Jose “El Vale” Perez

Groomsman

My cousin Jose is basically my built-in older brother. We grew up together, shared a room, and shared some legendary memories—many of them involving late nights, questionable decisions, and a level of partying that once required pre-setting his work clothes for the next morning. Along with our cousin Ivan, he was known to “accidentally” crash a party or two.

Francisco A “Chich” Perez

Groomsman

Kiko—who I like to say was named after me, even though he’s older—has been part of some of my best memories. From running around Mexico as kids, playing with sticks and shooting rifles in his backyard, to our teenage and young adult years that involved significantly heavier drinking, we’ve done it all together. Many bottles of tequila were sacrificed along the way, and by far some of my wildest stories involve Kiko being somewhere nearby. Having him stand with me today just feels right.

Jose I “La Ardilla” Perez

Groomsman

Ivan is the definition of a fun older cousin. He will turn any event into a good time, usually with a drink (or ten) involved. He also lived with my family for a while, which led to some unforgettable memories, like the night we turned our bedroom into a nightclub on a random weekday and got completely obliterated with Kiko. Ivan brings energy, laughs, and chaos in the best way, and having him as part of my groomsmen was an easy decision.

Emmauel “Nelo” Oceguera

Groomsman

My friend Emmanuel—a loud and proud Americanista fan who literally wears his team on his chest. Just as devoted as he is to his favorite soccer team, he’s an even more devoted father of three. Before he became the serious, down-to-earth grown-up he is today, we ran wild together in school in both the U.S. and Mexico, causing plenty of mischief. He’s one of my closest childhood friends, and choosing him was a no-brainer.

Cristian “Cris” Delgado

Groomsman

My friend Cristian—better known as “Cris” (self-proclaimed, of course). He’s a true character who can turn even the most serious moments into something funny—usually when it’s least appropriate. Through all the jokes and laughs, we’ve managed to do some incredible work together, and this crew wouldn’t feel complete without him by my side.

Jorge I “Pookie” Mojarro

Groomsman

My friend Ivan—better known as “Pookie.” He’s one of those friends you don’t need to talk to every day, but when we do hang out, it’s like no time has passed at all. He’s a devoted dog dad to Lola and Finn, two Belgian Malinois who require a lot of attention and patience. That makes him the perfect fit for this crew—he’s the one who keeps us grounded when things start to get a little wild.

Luis F “Lua” Lua

Groomsman

My friend Lua—the chillest and most down-to-earth person I know. Fun fact: he has the “waviest” hair in New Rochelle, hands down. He’s also the most organized one in the group and the only person who actually wrote something for this website which I will attach below … “Most of our memories aren’t exactly PG, but one of my favorites is a karaoke night where we somehow went from singing “Many Men” to “Fergalicious,” and you [Kiko] ended up taking over the show singing your jam with all the excitement in the world.” I couldn’t ask for a better friend to have by my side.
