Question

What is the attire for the evening?

Answer

The dress code is Semi-formal or Dressy Casual, but wear whatever makes you feel wonderful.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception all take place at our beautiful venue, Rocky's Lake Estate, so there's no need to stress about going to a secondary location!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME YOU HAVE A +1-- We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kiddos welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Where is the couple registered?

Answer

Amazon and Zola! Amazon Registry: https://www.amazon.com/wedding/registry/1YLLLCEZ6WA7W?ref=wr_search_page_result_11

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony (pending weather cooperating) will be outside, cocktail hour will also be outside, while the reception will be held indoors. There are many outdoor spaces to take a break from the party, so feel free to take advantage of what the venue has to offer.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

On average, the temps in late October range from mid to high 60s to lows in the upper 40s. Please feel free to bring a jacket to make you more comfortable if you're prone to get chilly.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the Boathouse Bar where we will be serving Hors D'Oeuvres and cocktails.

Question

What should I do if I cant make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive half an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Yes, both food and drinks will be served at the reception. The menu is still being finalized, but we have chosen our entrees: Sesame Beef, Tuscan Chicken and North American Salmon.

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

We can accommodate any special diet options given that you provide us ample time to accommodate your needs. Please contact us ASAP if you require one of these special diet options.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered through this website (see Registry tab) and Amazon (also linked on this site on another tab).

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

While we're not providing transportation, there are many options for travel such as Uber, Lyft, and BeMyDD (a local service that provides two drivers, one for your car, and one for the person to drive your car! That way you don't have to worry about leaving your car at the venue)

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #WalkingBrowntheAisle so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
