We met by pure chance—unexpectedly, in another state, and at exactly the right moment. In December 2018, we both found ourselves in Reno, Nevada, each there to see our favorite band, Journey, live in concert. Francis was with his cousin, Terri with her family, and after the concert ended, we began talking… and talking. What started as a simple conversation lasted over an hour as we discovered how intertwined our lives already were. We shared mutual friends (even the same amazing physician who cared for both of our parents, a family friend priest that we and our families both know), both came from the SF Bay Area, had loved Journey forever, and shared a deep appreciation for classic cars. Years later, in 2022, fate gently nudged us back together. Both single, we reconnected over our shared love of cars when Terri purchased a Porsche 911 and reached out to Francis with questions. Our conversations grew, even as life kept us busy with family and work. Finally, on July 4, 2023, we had our first official date—watching fireworks light up the sky at Dinosaur Hill Park in Pleasant Hill, and dinner. In that moment, it was clear: what began as a chance meeting had always been meant to be. Our love story, which began in great friendship, blossomed into love, and the adventure continues. We are SO excited that our mom and Francis are getting married! It makes us really happy to see our mom so loved, and it means we officially get to be one big family. We can’t wait to join the Collins crew and see what that includes—more family, more laughs, and probably a little more chaos. This new chapter is full of love, fun, and happiness, and we’re excited to start it all together.
