Getting to Eilean Donan Castle

There are a couple of ways to get to the castle from various airports. Please keep these tips in mind when booking flights! If you arrive in Edinburgh, note that it is just over a 4-hour drive to Eilean Donan. However, it is also most likely a direct flight from LAX. It is also the busiest time of year, with several festivals going on in the city around the same time. The nearest airport to Eilean Donan is Inverness, but that’s still a 2-hour drive away. You would probably have to fly to LHR and then Inverness if you took that route. Either way - the routes to Eilean Donan are breathtaking and worth exploring to get there.
