A short ceremony will take place at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, located at 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. The Reception will follow at the Frederick Armory located at 121 N Bentz St, Frederick, MD 21701

The Ceremony will start at 6 PM at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church and the Reception will promptly start at 7 PM at the Frederick Armory in Frederick

Answer
The dress code for our Renewal of Vows is “Black Tie – Formal Evening Wear". Black Tie Optional Tuxedos are encouraged but not required. Dark suits and formal dresses are perfect. Aim for elevated evening wear. Formal / Evening Formal Suits with ties or elevated separates. Long dresses or dressy midi dresses are great.

After the Ceremony at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, guests are expected to drive over to the Reception Hall (about 11 minutes away), where Dinner will be served, with dancing to follow. Start at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church Head southwest. Go for 115 ft. Turn right toward Opossumtown Pike. Go for 0.1 mi. Turn right onto Opossumtown Pike. Go for 2.1 mi. Continue on Motter Ave. Go for 1.0 mi. Continue on N Bentz St (MD-355 S). Go for 0.4 mi. Turn right onto W 2nd St. Go for 144 ft. End at Frederick Armory on 121 N Bentz St, Frederick, MD 21701-4900

There is ample parking at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. The parking could seem challenging around the Armory; however, besides the spots on the street and across the venue, there is ample parking in the area

We sure hope you’ll be able to join us for our special day. And, we tried to help and avoid you having to rsvp. So, our guests have to register as such to receive their invitation to our Renewal of Vows. So, if you’re reading this, it means you have received a registration request from us. Indeed, only people who have indicated that they’ll attend were added to our guests list. In other words, if you receive a paper invitation, this will be your confirmation as a guest. No need to RSVP, even if on the invitation there’ll be a QR code allowing you to do so.

A paper invitation is required to attend our special event because we truly want to share these special moments with those who have been with us on this journey, either in Africa, Europe, or here in the US, and we need to mail those invitations in advance. So, please use the registration link by July 7th if possible.

Unfortunately, to be able to serve alcohol at the Frederick Armory, we’ve been asked to limit our guest list to eighteen-year-olds and over, and we hope you understand.

Under “Travel”, we have a list of hotels that are located nearby. We have personally reserved rooms with a king bed or 2 queen beds at the Hampton Inn and the Hilton Garden in Frederick. We are so excited to have you join our special day, and your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for. However, if we are to be honored with a present from you, you can contribute to the building of our late son Joseph Jr's monument. As many of you know, Joseph Jr loved to play football and violin. So, to honor his memory, we chose a monument representing what he loved most in life: Football and Violin. We were blessed to find someone who designed it. So, your donation will contribute to that legacy.
