Our Story

It all started with a pizza shop..

It was the summer of 2012 and Franny just finished up her Sophomore year of nursing school at Penn State University and headed home. She reached out to a close friend, Demetri, who owned a local pizza shop and became the “phone girl” to make some extra money over the summer. It was her first day of work and she was trying to figure out how navigate through a busy shift, when Jonathan walked in. He immediately caught her eye with his crystal blue eyes and radiant smile. He was also friends with Demetri, and would frequently visit the pizza shop to hang out or help cook when it got busy. The very first day we crossed paths Jonathan decided to play a prank. He hid in the back of the store to call the pizza shop, and when Franny answered he pretended to be a disgruntled customer with demands for six packs of beer (they didn’t sell beer). As Franny was getting flustered and upset she heard giggling, and turned to see Jonathan laughing into his phone. From that moment they became friends, and even quicker than that they fell in love. Throughout the years they brought two beautiful children into the world, both met lifetime goals together, and made numerous memories. Seven years flew by in a blink of an eye, and 09/28/2019 marks the beginning of endless memories to be made.

Our Proposal

03/03/2018

Flash back to our first few weeks of dating in 2012. It was still the honeymoon stage and we were both enamored by each other. On one of these days Jonathan asked me to take the train with him into the city. We walked around, he gave me a history lesson about the buildings, and then we sat together at the infamous LOVE park. While there Jonathan told me how much he cared about me, how he saw a future with us, and promised me that if he ever proposed it would be at that same location. Flash forward to 03/03/2018. Jonathan took me to a wonderful dinner at DelFrisco’s steak house. After dinner he said he wanted to take a walk, because he thought that the LOVE park renovations might be done and wanted to see it. As we approached the infamous LOVE park sign, I noticed one of Jonathan’s friends were there. Jonathan suggested that we take a photo with the sign, and then as we prepared to take the photo he kneeled down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I initially froze (I never thought this day would come) but after shock wore off, I said YES!
