We're Getting Married!

We met at Sal's 22nd birthday party in the basement of his parents house. At the time, my friend was dating Sal's cousin and they invited me to go to the party along with them. I was introduced to him and we hit it off immediately. We knew we wanted to see each other again. The next day he asked me out and on August 6th, 2011 we officially started dating. The rest is history!

Sal was able to pull off a surprise proposal in his parent's backyard at his brother's rehearsal dinner for their wedding. My future sister in law, Joanna, suggested he propose while we were rehearsing walking down the isle for their wedding. Everyone at the party knew he was proposing (except me). While we were rehearsing, Sal and I were the last ones to walk down the isle. The song "Marry You" by Bruno Mars starting playing in the background and each couple starting walking down the isle. When it was finally our turn, Sal got down on one knee and proposed in front of friends and family! It was a complete surprise and shock. I got a little emotional but eventually said "YES!!" It was one of the happiest days of our lives!
