The closing weekend of the Keeneland fall meet is October 22-25. If you want to enjoy Keeneland during your visit to Kentucky, you will need to purchase your tickets ahead of time, so definitely plan ahead!
The distillery district is the perfect place to grab dinner & drinks! They have Goodfellas Pizzeria: Pizza and Bourbon Bar, Desperados Cantina: A Taco and Tequila Bar, and Crank & Boom, a local ice cream shop. They are also home to a few other bars & restaurants like Ethereal Brewing, Wise Bird Cider Co., Halligans Bar & Grill, and Elkhorn Tavern.
The Burl is another awesome area for food, drinks, music, and games! It is directly across the street from The Distillery District and has really developed into its own experience over the years. The Burl itself is a music venue with shows every weekend, and they have now opened The Burl Arcade, Burl Brew, and a food truck named Lucy's. The Burl Arcade has old school arcade games like ski ball, Pac Man, Galaga, pin ball and more. And Burl Brew is newer, it opened in 2024 and has a retro brewery vibe with craft beers & cocktails!
This is by far our favorite restaurant in Lexington! It is definitely an upscale dining experience that we choose for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day etc. Their menu is amazing, and they have some of the best cocktails we've ever had! The white chocolate martini & espresso martini are a must from the bride! *Pro-tip: make a reservation if you know you want to eat at Carson's while you are in town*
Bowling is one of our favorite activities for a date night or spending time with friends! Southland Lanes is the classic bowling experience, but if you want a more modern experience, Lex Live and Main Event are some other local places with bowling and games.
This restaurant is one of our go-to dinner date spots! Everything we have ever ordered has been delicious, and it is close to our wedding venue/hotels.
