For flights, hotels, and trains, local platforms like Trip.com often offer competitive pricing and broader domestic inventory compared to international sites.
Digital Payments
Mainland China is largely cashless. Most shops and taxis accept Alipay or WeChat Pay. Register and verify in advance; international Visa/MasterCard can be linked directly. Alipay’s “Tour Card” allows RMB top-up via credit card. Carry limited RMB for backup.
Transportation
Download DiDi (English supported). Taxis rarely accept foreign cards or English instructions, so DiDi is strongly recommended.
