We met on a Christmas night at a bar in the famous Wynwood neighborhood, called Wood Tavern. Frances was with a group of girls and they noticed the crowd was different than usual; so one of the girls said "let's point at just one guy that you consider cute". Frances noticed Gylmar and pointed at him. Shortly after Gylmar approached Frances and a conversation ensued. Gylmar offered to walk Frances to her car and after exchanging phone numbers, he invited her on a date the very next day. Gylmar took Frances to the Miami Arts Museum, then to join each other companies at a nice dinner. After spending the entire day together, talking about everything, from that day until today they have become inseparable.
We love to travel! Our very first trip together was to the Windy City, Chicago; there Gylmar asked Frances to be his girlfriend (barely four weeks after they met!). Soon enough we found out we have a lot of things in common like watching movies and enjoying the outdoors. We like sports, especially baseball and like build furniture for our house. We quickly clicked and on March 2017 we moved in together with our french bulldog, Summer, to a small apartment in the city and on September of that same year we moved from the city to the suburbs in a cozy town home. We love living together as a couple and hosting get togethers for our family and friends. Then, on March 2019 we had the opportunity to become first time home buyers of a beautiful house in Homestead, Fl with a lake view. On December 2019 we adopted Louie as our second french bulldog! On January 2020 we found out we were going to be parents for the first time and on February Gylmar goes on one knee and proposed to Frances at the Niagara Falls, Canada. We had plans to do a wedding where we can have our families and friends under the same roof, but Gylmar had the brilliant idea to get married on leap year, February 29, 2020 and we did! Now we want to celebrate our marriage again with all of you at the beautiful Secret Gardens Miami.
