FAQs

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same location?

Answer

Yes, both ceremony and reception will take place at The Backyard Venue DFW located at 1410 S Bridgefarmer Rd, McKinney, TX 75069

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask our guests to dress in semi formal attire, though semi formal western wear is acceptable and encouraged. The parking lot and other areas of the venue have gravel walkways, so we recommend our heel-wearing guests to go for a chunky heel or other footwear option. Additionally, we recommend guests dress for comfortable weather, but plan accordingly for a cool Texas evening.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we will not be able to accommodate extra guests unless specifically indicated on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, the bride and groom have thoughtfully made decisions to invite specific children, primarily those of family members. We kindly ask that you use your invitation as a guide to determine who will be in attendance.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

You can find our registry right here on our website under the registry tab.

Question

Will this be an outdoor wedding?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. We plan to have outdoor games and other outdoor activities throughout the evening. Additionally, the bar is located outdoors under a gazebo, so be prepared to be outside when grabbing a cocktail or partaking in other festivities.

Question

Will there be alcohol? What is the smoking policy?

Answer

The open bar will become available at the end of the ceremony and will close down prior to send off. The venue kindly asks all guests to keep alcoholic beverages within the venue parameters at all times. Additionally, The venue asks all guests to refrain from smoking of any kind (cigarettes, cigars, and vapes) unless within the designated smoking areas (Firepit seating area and seating areas on gravel), and to please dispose of their cigarette butts and cigars in the provided receptacles.
