Steffen’s Version... I went to an art museum in California and looked at so many beautiful works of art. I didn't stop and stare at every piece, I simply glanced and casually walked by. Then there was one that intrigued me. I found myself standing directly in front of it and observing all of the intricate details and really appreciated the beauty. That's how I felt about Francesca. We would casually see each other in passing. Seeing her at assemblies, chilling out on my parent's couch, social gatherings. More of a "hi and bye" kind of thing. But through the years I found myself intrigued. More conversations, more outings, and being on the same time zone during the pandemic, she was my daily pick me up on the phone. Chatting, singing, and watching movies on facetime for hours. She not only became my best friend but I noticed so many beautiful and intricate details and I found myself falling. Oct 2021, she became my girlfriend. July 2023, she became my fiancée. Stay tuned because April 2024, "Happily Ever After." Francesca's Version... We've been around each other for years due to being in similar friend groups. It was actually his brother Nicholas who I was really good friends with first. I would hang out at their house whenever I was in town (if you're wondering why Steffen refers to me as the girl who was always on his parents' couch this is why). Obviously I saw Steffen all the time because he lived there but it was usually just hi and bye interactions. With time (and I mean years) we started to talk more and began our own friendship. That turned into us talking all the time, pretty much every day. He became one of my closest friends. But it took a long time for us to realize or admit, at least to each other that it was turning into more than friendly feelings. Fast forward thru the long distance relationship, weekend visits, weekly Facetime date nights, etc. we made it here- about to start our life together (and no more long distance)! There are little details and stories about our relationship that I can totally share at another time. But to sum it up our story is simple and sweet: we were best friends who became something much more. And now we move forward to the next new chapter - marriage.
