"Runner-up for softest hair in the world." Paired with a classic San Diego beach selfie, this is the profile that somehow made me swipe right. It was the summer after I had just finished my undergraduate degree at UC San Diego, and Chris had just finished his 2L year at USD Law School. After talking on the app for a few days, we decided to schedule our first date at Balboa Park. We met at the Japanese friendship garden, walked around the park, and sat for some glasses of wine and appetizers. After the dinner, I asked Chris, "Well what are you doing after this?" to which he replied, "I'm going home. Bye!" Nice one, Chris. The very next day, I just so happened to be going out that evening in Chris's neighborhood, so I invited Chris out to a bar with my friends. After taking a shot of whiskey at home for confidence, Chris met me out and we danced the night away! To be honest, we've been smitten ever since. It's been 7.5 years since our first date, and since then our love story has truly taken us on an adventure. We adopted our cat, Lane, moved across the world, and have traveled to over a dozen countries together. Along the way, each and every one of you have contributed to and been a part of our personal development and love story. The best part of it all is that this is just the beginning. <3
