Our story began in September of 2019 when we both moved into the same apartment in Somerville, Massachusetts on the same day. Caroline was on the first floor with her friends, and Cam was on the second floor with his. At first as strangers, things started off with the stereotypical upstairs/downstairs neighbor dynamic between the two floors (wondering who was moving furniture at 2am and crashing each other’s occasional house parties). This dynamic changed during covid, when lockdown began and we could no longer leave the house. A few of us decided to buy a firepit and turn our backyard into a communal spot for everyone in the apartment to hang out and socialize. As we all started to spend more time together and get to know each other, Cam and Caroline quickly, and very unexpectedly, gravitated toward one another. After a few months of being just friends, Cam asked Caroline out to dinner on a date. It didn’t take long to see how thoughtful (and intense about planning) Cam was. He told Caroline when to be ready and handled the rest. He made a reservation at 75 on Liberty Wharf in Boston’s Seaport, scheduled an Uber, had us arrive early to watch the sunset by the ocean, and surprised Caroline with a bottle of her favorite wine, a card, and a speech about how strongly he felt for her. The rest came easy, as we began officially dating Sept 1st 2020, moved into our first apartment together one year later in 2021, and got engaged one year after that in 2022. We cannot wait to celebrate our love story with you all, and see what else lies ahead in our journey together!
