We're getting married!

With our 5 year anniversary coming up, we had made plans to take a trip to Italy. Nick thought that would be the perfect place to propose to me. Unfortunately, life had other plans in mind. We had to make an emergency move out of our apartment within a few days notice. Thanks to that unexpected adventure, all of our funds we had set aside for trip went to first month, last month, and security deposit. While Nick was trying to figure out a good plan B, I began planning our holidays. This holiday season was a pretty big deal- it was my mom's 60th birthday, Nick's 40th, and our last big family Christmas at my grandmother's house before she moved in with my aunt. Nick decided what better place to propose to me than in one of the most meaningful places in my life- in my grandparent's house surrounded by family!
