FAQs

Question

How do I get to Grotonwood Camp & Conference Center?

Answer

When you are coming to Grotonwood, there is a hairpin turn onto Prescott Street that is easy to miss. Once on Prescott, continue driving (slowly) all the way to the end of the street. You will then see a sign for Grotonwood. Do not stop at the Family Center but continue on to the main parking lot.

Question

I'm staying the weekend. What should I bring?

Answer

The big thing is sheets. Please bring a pair of twin size sheets per person. Beds can be moved together, but each mattress is a twin. Please also bring as many blankets and pillows as you would like. Bring as many towels and toiletries as you will need. Also bring comfy clothes as well as your wedding attire. Some of our activities will be active (if you choose to participate), so bring an outfit you are okay with getting dirty. Bug spray is also a must. We also recommend that you bring snacks (especially if you tend to get hungry between meals).

Question

I'd like to stay the weekend. How does that work?

Answer

We're so excited that you want to spend the whole weekend with us! We have already pre-booked the cabins, so all you have to do is RSVP "Will attend" to the RSVP for staying the weekend. Room and board will be included in your stay. If you do decide to stay in the cabins, in lieu of a registry, we ask you to help us pay for your stay. We're asking for $100 per person, but please only pay what is within your means. Brittany's Venmo is @Brittany-Fox-34 but you can also pay with a check. Feel free to text us at 774-573-1093 with any questions. ** Children stay for free** We will be assigning you to a room. We will be putting family members in the same hallways. Depending on your assigned room, you may have an ensuite bathroom or you may be sharing (with your extended family or friends). Please let us know if you require any additional accommodations - some rooms are more accessible than others. Please plan on arriving anytime between 4-7pm on Friday. If you are arriving outside of those hours, please let us know by texting us at the above number.

Question

I don't want to stay at the camp. What should I attend?

Answer

It's okay that you don't want to stay. You can treat our wedding like a typical wedding and only come for the ceremony (please be in the chapel on Saturday at 3:30pm) and the reception dinner. You are also welcome to come to the Bonding Activity, Capture the Flag, the fire pit, and the Sunday activity. However, we can only provide meals for guests staying at camp (not including reception dinner).
