We’re Getting Married

We met online....... You could say my parents were not to happy about me online dating at first. After a while of conversing back and forth, we finally met. Mike took me kayaking for our first date at Hillsdale Lake in Kansas on May 22nd, 2017. You could say we hit it off. It was a very fun date and something we will always remember. I guess you could say Mike's goofiness and charm is something I just couldn't live without.

September 22nd 2017- We took the plunge in getting a puppy. Although i wasnt living with Mike yet, i was always over at his place. We were crazy to get a puppy in an apartment. Ace was just so cute we couldnt resist. We love our Ace and wouldnt trade him for anything. He keeps us on our toes 75% of the time, but he has such an awesome personality. November 2017- We moved in together. Mike had an apartment with his roommate Frank in olathe Kansas. I would always stay over on the weekends with Mike so it was just easier to move in. Not to mention Ace was there too. It was such a hard decision choosing to leave my parents and Brody (my dog). Once I got past all the emotions, it was the best decision ever. April 6th 2018-We bought a house. (well mike did) The apartment lease was coming to an end and we decided to get a house together. It was the most exciting and terrifying process ever. We have learned a lot with buying/owning a home. We love our house, especially now with a place for both the puppies to run and play.

Can't say I didn't know it was coming. We had been talking about the topic of getting engaged for some time. It was just a matter of when the right time was. We had planned a trip to Branson for a few months prior, to just get away and have some fun. Before the trip, Mike had been giving me some non-intentional hints leading up to our Branson trip. Once we got to Branson, we had such a great time at Silver Dollar city and all the little shops on the strip. On June 1st, we planned to go to Top of The Rock. Top of the Rock had a nature trail of beautiful waterfalls, caves and lots of greenery. We took a golf cart through this lengthy trail and of course Mike had way to much fun driving the cart around. Our first stop of the trail was this amazing roaring waterfall. There was a couple about our age (26) who had asked us to take their picture in front of the waterfall. The couple asked if we would like a picture too. Mike yelled out and said "YES". (If you know Mike, he hates pictures) I knew it was odd and something was up especially after Mike was wanting our picture taken. We posed for the picture, he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said YES. A million times Yes.

We will be having a small intimate destination wedding in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. The wedding will be at Secrets Maroma Beach Rivera Cancun, an all inclusive resort.
