Ryan and Marissa met at work back in 2019 and became instant friends. After a few years of working together, Ryan received a job offer in Hong Kong. However, due to COVID and the travel restrictions in place between HK and the US, he had to start the job remotely in Minneapolis. During that remote period, Ryan and Marissa started to hang out more, eventually dating but neither of them truly accepting it knowing that Ryan would be leaving any day. Once he left, both crushed, Marissa's LinkedIn promoted a job to her in the same position at the same company... just in HK. It was a sign from the universe that this love was real and was just the push they needed to turn this love story into a reality. Marissa moved to HK on 1/1/23 and they've been together ever since! Marissa and Ryan have travelled to over a dozen countries together, navigated two across-the-world moves (to HK and NYC), and live every day with the intention of making each other stronger through all the peaks and valleys of life. Through it all, they've learned that no matter where they are, home is wherever they are with each other.
