We’re Getting Married!

"Saw the most beautiful girl I've even seen, procrastinated, asked girl out on "not a date" which lasted 10 hours, told her I loved her, won a fiancée at a Canes game, now we are getting married!"

November 2021-I had just accepted a new job in a completely different career field and was preparing to leave teaching. As I was saying goodbye, Jake's mom asked if she could give my contact information to her son because she thought we had a lot in common and would get along. About a week later, I got a message from Jake. We hit it off and talked constantly. He asked if I would like to go to a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game with him. I have never been to an NHL game before, but excitedly accepted. On meeting him I had an overwhelming feeling of calmness and comfort. After our first date, Jake continued to show patience and understanding as our relationship developed and allowed me to move at my own pace. December 2022- We were back where we went on our first date. Jake planned for us to get "randomly chosen" to play my favorite game that they play between periods at the hurricanes game. Little did I know that the whole thing was planned out by him, they ensured I would win, and I turned around and he was down on one knee. We are so excited to share our love with you all on our wedding day <3
