Dean and Megan met in December 2017 on the dating app, Bumble. Dean was home from Texas after his first semester in the nuclear medicine program and decided to download Bumble, not thinking he’d meet “the one.” Megan was about to delete her Bumble, when she stumbled upon Dean and decided to reach out. They quickly learned they had a passion for the same SoCal sports teams: Anaheim Angels, Los Angeles Lakers, and Anaheim Ducks. One day, Dean shared a picture of his puppy, Lacey, sitting in his backyard. The view looked very familiar. Come to find out, they’d been neighbors, living on the same street, Deveron Cove, and six houses away for 23 YEARS! Some call it chance, they call it fate. Dean thought for sure he was being catfished! With no initiation of a meet up from Dean, Megan decided to challenge him to a game of horse (she knew the way to his heart early on😉.) The two instantly connected and talked for hours, never playing that game of horse. After a couple of dates, they decided to make their relationship exclusive. The rest is history! 😊
After asking Megan’s family for their blessing to marry Megan, COVID-19 struck, throwing a wrench in Dean’s plans. In May, Dean picked out the ring and spent the next two months deciding how he would pop the question. On July 4, 2020, he woke up and decided to make it happen. Dean decided to ask Megan to marry him in his family’s backyard, surrounded with love by both their families.
