Originally established in 1912 by industrialist Charles Walter Nichols, Pleasantdale Château began as a peaceful retreat from city life.
Inspired by European travels, Nichols worked with architect Augustus N. Allen to design the Château in the Norman style of Northern France, incorporating tiles from Spain and Portugal, and surrounding it with beautifully landscaped grounds.
After serving as a private estate and corporate retreat, the Château was acquired by the Knowles family in 1994. They lovingly preserved its historic charm while transforming it into the elegant, iconic venue it is today—frequently featured in film and television, and perfect for unforgettable celebrations.
