Like all great modern love stories... ours started with two people swiping right! We met in the summer of 2022: matched, messaged, and from the very first conversation, something clicked. Our first date was at Red Robin (Yummm) We talked, we laughed, and when we left the restaurant that day, we weren't just thinking about how good the fries were. Something about it all just felt right. Like the fries, this was the start of a bottomless love; endlessly comforting, occasionally salty, and always worth coming back for more. During the this time, Megan was in the middle of opening her own chiropractic clinic, which just so happened to bring her closer to Nick. The timing couldn’t have been better. Suddenly, weekend dates became weekdays, and holidays became shared traditions. Our first Christmas season together was basically Hallmark-level magical: Rochester light shows, Detroit Zoo lights, endless holiday tunes, and more Christmasy-themed date nights than we could count. We joked about getting engaged under a giant light display, but as it turns out, that wasn’t too far off! We moved in together, bought a boat (because... why not?), and bonded over a very sophisticated taste in television: Love Is Blind, Deadliest Catch, and Survivor. Somewhere between the crab fishing and reality show drama, we found our groove, and our forever. The proposal? It happened in Frankenmuth, Michigan’s very own Christmas town, and a place we’d already fallen in love with. We were at Bronner’s (the world’s largest Christmas store, and also the namesake of one of our dogs, Bronner). After shopping for ornaments and enjoying a classic chicken dinner, we swung back by Bronner’s for a quick photo. That’s when Nick got down on one knee and made the magic official. 💍 And now? We’re saying “I do” right back in Frankenmuth, at the Bavarian Inn Lodge, surrounded by family, friends, twinkle lights, and way too many sentimental Christmas songs. It's going to be classic, romantic, and a little extra, just the way we like it. We can't wait to celebrate with you! Nick & Megan
